Henallt House last opening before renovations begin

BOTANY and other stories is to hold a fourth and final public opening of The Cabinet of Curiosities before renovations begin at Henallt House in Hay-on-Wye.

The opening will take place on Saturday 9th November 2024 from 11am to 7pm. All are welcome, entry is free, and visitors will be able to enjoy browsing the many rooms and exhibits.

BOTANY and other stories has recently been granted charity status, and the upcoming renovations throughout 2025 will convert Henallt House into a permanent space for exhibition and observation of the natural world. The charity uses scientific collections and informative tools including botanical illustration to draw attention to the importance of the environment and the urgency of working towards a sustainable future.

Previous visitors to the exhibition said: “We were struck by the research, the artistry and the attention to detail that resulted in such an engaging and informative collection. Immediately afterwards we felt we needed to see it all again!”

Please come along on Saturday 9th November, and see it for yourself.
